For some reason, the app still crashes for no reason on me. Oh yeah, I’m talking about the Windows version.

lucky you said Windows, I have been hearing that quite a lot recently…
During the beginning the Linux version used to crash on me but no more.

… and I just downloaded it, thanks for the warning. Anyway, they did warn that there’ll be issues on their main site. Sigh.

It’s really sad…the newer versions for the Windows crashes frequently. It’s by far, the best bit torrent client because it’s encrypted and tmnut has got no idea how to throttle it. LoL…But then again, they should work harder on making it stable on windows as well

I am on a private torrent site that frowns or bands BitComet , BitLord and similar because of how they can disrupt superseeding and other activities by persistently disconnecting & reconnecting if necessary to get an advantage.
I have noticed a member using Deluge.
This was for a huge DVD collection 38 GB total. I have a 3 Gb/s 768kb/s DSL. Some users have 10 to 25 GB/s & 2 to 5 Gb/s ul Many of these only get a few or so downloaders so it takes some adjustments in my Azureus client to have a chance of being able to get at least a 0.50 + ratio. Tome of steps I take are to devote 80% of my ul speed to this torrent. Most users use Azureus, and uTorrent, a few Tansmission or a couple others.
I try to individually limit my dl from one or more of the other downloaders if they consistently download to me at a high rate. I monitor it and this enables me to at least download half of the individual sub DVD ’s of the collection and evn end up with a 0.75 ratio. If I didn’t do this most likely finish with a ratio quite lower than 0.50 even if I start at least when no one has slownloaded more than 10% or so.
When I limit other clients that limit will stay in effect until the end or if they disconnect and reconnect. Some do that every few hours or so but this Deluge client will do it within a couple to a few minutes all the time so I have to keep re applying the dl speed restriction.
What I don’t know is if that is because of some feature in Deluge or if the user is doing it manually.
Thank you,
Joey
