Adin, you could use a cd burning software like nero or K3B to burn the iso image onto a cd/dvd. Pop the cd in and boot up, you should be able to boot into the live cd.

Hi, I just downloaded gOS from their website but am now trying to see how I could run it like a live CD.
How do I take the ISO file that I have downloaded and start viewing gOS?
I have run it through PowerISO and extracted the files but that does not make a live CD.

Dicky,

yes you certainly can. gOS is distributed as a live CD and the option to install is provided if you choose to install.

My recommendation, run the live cd for a few days, see if you like it, try other distros too and then decide f you want to install.

Thanks Prakash,

enlightenment is just superb man. low resource requirement with simple yet clean interface. The installation currently is still a bit difficult for new users but it is still good software.

I'll give Jacklab a spin soon.
