Although I was satisfied, I also felt a tinge of sadness, but only because this particular adaptation was from the US series, and not the original japanese series. I knew this before-hand, but still for me Transformers without Cliffjumper, Mirage, Brawn, SOUNDWAVE, the Constructicons, Astrotrain, Gears, WHEELJACK and so forth is just not Transformers! Ahhh... I gotta say that the whole CGI and even the cast was really good, the storyline was impressive and there's probably quite a few awards heading their way, but I sat there for two hours plus thinking of how greater it would have been if they used the original characters, or even the ones from The Movie [animated movie]... oh well, still a bloody good watch, in my books. It's More Than Meets The Eye, but there's an After Taste On The Tongue.
