My Dad and sis were at the Hindraf(Hindu Rights Action Force) gathering this morning to support the Petition being submitted to the British High Commission. This is her story.
Today was a proud day to be an Indian in Malaysia! We have awakened from a long sleep! Wanna know why?
Let me tell you my story, as one individual that formed one of the hundred thousands that were gathered around the British embassy in several areas despite the tear gas, water canons containing chemicals and police road blocks.
My dad and me decided to take the LRT to Ampang Park LRT Station which is the closest to the embassy. Reason being many of the main roads were closed. However, we met our first obstacle. The train did not stop at the KLCC station and neither did it stop at the Ampang Park station. A true Malaysian, a Muslim, told us that both stations were closed and that the train will only stop at Kg. Baru, a station before the KLCC station and Damai station, a station after Ampang Park. He even told us the way to get to the gathering and this is without we requesting any information from him. This is a person who understood the reason for the gathering. It was not a gathering purely for the rights of Indians but Malaysians as a whole.
So, we got down at the Damai station and started walking towards KLCC. A large group of people were following at the back of us. Very proud to have such support, we started walking even faster. Suddenly, we saw a group of people walking from the opposite direction. One young man stopped to inform us that tear gas is being shot by the police. He asked us to turn back because the effects of the tear gas was so bad that we would not be able to take it. We told him thank you for the information and that we have come so far, we are not going to turn back just because tear gas is being shot. We continued to walk towards KLCC. The large group behind us was also marching with us. We finally reached the Jalan Semarak junction.
We heard screams from people. We were shocked to see the amount of FRU trucks parked there and FRU personnel on a frenzy of shooting tear gas towards the crowd. They were shooting everywhere. One of the cannisters actually hit a guy and left his back swollen. He did not give up. He washed his back and continued to walk to find another location to gather. He was not ready to go back till the purpose he was there is reached.
My eyes and skin were burning as if hot water was splashed on my face. My nose and trachea was also burning. Once again, the true Malaysian spirit was seen. A Muslim family from Kg. Baru actually gave us water and helped us to wash off. I had tears in my eyes to see this show of support. We were always being led by the false impression that the Malays are not happy with the Indians and the Chinese. However the truth is, the Rakyat have no problem with each other. It is the politicians that create their own stories and cause racial problems. Let be UMNO, MIC or MCA. Our government failed to see that we are not Malays, Indians or Chinese. We are Malaysians. Why can’t the government accept this fact?
Anyway, back to my story. Once the effect of the tear gas wore out, we continued our journey to the embassy. We were not deterred. It took around 45 minutes to walk up to Renaissance Hotel. We had to stop there. We could not walk any further as there were police blocks. In the road in front of the hotel we saw a large gathering. We joined the group. We kept walking further in in the midst of the crowd. Then we heard people cheering. We saw our young leaders standing proud and giving their speech. There was Uthaya Kumar, Manoharan, Surendran, Tien Chua, Razak and other leaders. They gave speeches that would ignite the spirit of every Malaysian.
No one spoke purely about Indians although there were the Indian sentiments mentioned. We were asked to ensure that we register ourselves as voters tomorrow and show the need for change through democracy. We told to be peaceful no matter what happens and was warned against the use of force to achieve our goals. They told the crowds to not get carried away with other issues and were very focused on only one matter, we want our voice to be heard and our rights granted to us and lastly, to be respected as a Malaysian. No more accusing that every crime is committed by an Indian, no more deaths in prison which are usually Indians. They were pure truthful leaders who had no hidden agendas. They did not represent the political parties but merely individuals who are fighting for the people’s rights. Once the speech was over, we were told to disperse peacefully. The crowd quietly dispersed off. There was no property damage or outburst of feelings. It was so peaceful. It felt like I was in school once again on my way back to the classroom after the usual Monday morning school assemblies. It really felt good.
The message that was passed to the Malaysian government and the Malaysian Indian Congress, the so-called representatives of Malaysian Indians is that we are no longer going to tolerate and allow ourselves to be bullied. If we are not given our rights, we are going to fight for it. We are not going to keep quiet and allow the so-called representatives to speak for us. Enough is enough!!!! 30 years of suffering and no more to add on. I want my child to say proudly that he/ she is a Malaysian. I don’t want my child to go through what I had to. It is so heart breaking to say that I am an Indian even though I was born in Malaysia and my parents are Malaysian.
TODAY OUR VOICE HAD BEEN FOUND AND THERE IS NO WAY WE ARE GOING TO LET IT FADE AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Others covering this great event.

November 25: Malaysian Indians. United in Progress.
The recent temple demolitions are heinous crimes perpetrated by leaders with no moral compass. Destroying temples which are at the heart of religious and social lives of Indians, dehumanizes and angers the Indian community throughout the world. Indians in Malaysia have suffered severe discriminations and violation of their rights as citizens. Shut out of education, jobs, economic prosperity and social dignity, the Indian community had suffered in silence. Anger has been boiling ever since the affirmative action locked them out of Malaysia’s economic progress. As a minority, they do not carry much political clout and the very little that they carry was invested in MIC (Malaysian Indian Congress) which was more concerned about maintaining power than uplifting the community.
Poor leadership in MIC, infighting and a nebulous networks of cronies and kick-backs have made it totally inept. Yet, in Malaysia’s race based politics there is no other party that is strong enough to depose MIC as representatives of Indians. Politics does not seem to have a credible solution to the community’s woes. Solutions must rise from the grassroots and creative, intelligent leadership that is not tainted by current politics is required.
In examining the role of the problems in Malaysia, the root cause is pretty plain to see. Lack of economic progress is at the heart of the deteriorating state. Yes, many people will point to the wealthy Indians who have rode Malaysia’s economic progress and made it to the top. Anada Krishnan of Maxis, Nathan of Eversendai are names that pop to everyone’s mind. In spite of such successes, Indians only control 1.5% of the economic pie despite being 8% of the population. Furthermore, if we were to remove the tiny, wealthy layer of Indian society the reading would be far worse. The truth is many Indians are wallowing in poverty, anger and losing self-confidence. High Suicide rates and crime rates are testament to a very troubled community. The middle class is increasingly frustrated at the loss of educational opportunities. Entry to universities among Indians have dropped despite the purported new meritocratic system. Anecdotal evidence suggests abuse and discrimination against Indians in the education system is present. To start with, most Indians come from a poor background which itself is a handicap. To further compound their misery, there is not even a level playing field in schools. The result, destitution and despair which eventually leads to students becoming gangsters.
At this juncture, it is vital to contrast Indians with Chinese who are a minority albeit a significant one in Malaysia. The Chinese have dominated the economic sphere of Malaysia ever since independence. The race riots and the affirmative action that rose in its aftermath, seems to have done little in dampening their economic power. Why haven’t the Indians benefited like the Chinese? Majority of the Indians brought in were indentured labor content to work the plantations. Hard work, honesty, dignity and peace were the hallmarks of their lives. They showed little inclination to education and entrepreneurship owing to their total dependence on the plantation lifestyle. As Malaysia progressed, plantations were broken up and the community had too little a time to readjust. Most of them moved to the cities and had to fend for themselves. The plantation lifestyle was broken and a shanty town life beckoned. Without strong economic or educational fundamentals, odd jobs and menial work were the only route to feed themselves. Adding to the crisis, was the lack of assistance from the government in helping the people to realign themselves to the new environment. The government and MIC were more concerned about enriching themselves than helping the poor. The majority, poor Indians toil in agony but did so silently. Democracy and the ballot box did not offer them the chance to express their desire for change as well. In Malaysia’s polarized political climate, MIC played the race card to ensure that Indians would continue to support them. The logic was simple. Its better to be in the government than out of it. MIC portrayed itself as a party of Indians that would use its leverage in the government for the betterment of the community. It failed time and again but it did not fail to win the votes of the Indians who trusted MIC more than the opposition. Indians were caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. MIC was inept and the opposition (PAS,IPF etc) seemed to be entities that did not seem to have the clout nor desire to deliver progress to the community.
The creamy layer of Indian society consisting of rich businessman and professionals might be held up as poster boys for the Indian society but they are too few of them. Beneath the creamy layer, lies the boiling layer of Indians brimming with anger and discontent. They are asking for a fair chance. The rise in unity among Indians is a natural outcome of years of suppression. Injustices meted out to an Indian or an Indian group is no longer viewed as an isolated event but as an injustice against the entire community. Traditionally, Indians are deeply individualistic and do not spontaneously aggregate as a community. The new found unity is due to rising fear among Indians that what happens to an Indian today could very well be happen to own’s family or at himself/herself, tomorrow. How can this unity and awareness be used to uplift the society? What are the practical solutions to this problem?
Lets be clear on the ground realities of Malaysia. Race based politics is far to ingrained to be uprooted overnight or even in generations. A land blessed with immense natural resources and potential is cursed by the scrooge of race politics, set in motion by the founding leaders. History has dealt a cruel card to Malaysia and it cannot be changed immediately. The special rights dished out to the majority is unlikely to be changed. It takes immense political will to unravel this system. In my humble opinion, Indians would never be given equal rights as the majority. This affirmative action is definitely a road block in Indian’s desire to progress but something Indians have to work around.
Firstly, they have to clean up their political leadership. A party that is transparent, has clear vision, is politically and intellectually assertive needs to front the Indian cause. MIC as the pre-eminent party of Indians can undergo reforms to fill this gap or an alternative party that can champion the Indian cause must be created. Secondly, political action to increase government spending in education and skills development of Indians must be undertaken. At the same time, the majority must be assured that funds are not being diverted away from bumiputera programs.
Self-help groups in education and business like TiE in USA must be setup by the creamy layer of the community. The creamy layer must be cognizant of the fact that the wellbeing of the community is very critical in maintaining peace and prosperity for their future generations. Failing their duty to contribute to the community’s success would inevitably be deleterious to them. So, helping the community might not always be altruistic in nature. Its in everyone’s self-interest to have a progressive society.
Social events must be organised by the community to build bridges with other races. Not just restricting themselves to Deepavali open-houses, Indians must reach out to other races to exhibit their culture and heritage. It need always be the beautiful side. Programs to highlight the squalor and poverty in Indian slum areas, crime rates and incidences can also be meaningful ways to communicate the issues that Indians face. Ultimately, fellow Malaysians irrespective of race are also human. However, the onus is on Indians to actively reach out and build ties with other communities. Throwing aside historical baggage, Indians should open a new chapter in race relations. At the same time, they should not lose sight of the need for unity and mutual help among fellow Indians. Being a proud and united Indian race does not preclude it from meaningfully engaging with other races.
Economic advancement among Indians can only occur if they push out and join the wave of globalisation. Globalisation and improvements in technology that decimated the plantation lifestyle could very well herald a resurgent, economically powerful Indian community. Indians should no longer trade with an inward focus. Majority of Indian merchants in Malaysia are geared towards catering to the needs of the Indian community. That focus must change. The country might not be a level playing field but increasingly the world is. Free trade agreements like ASEAN free trade agreement and many bilateral free trade agreements have made international trade smoother. Successful Indian businessmen who made it to the top rose due to their international perspective. More focus on skills, coporate governance and sense of entrepreneurship must be injected via self-help groups. The community must focus less on what the government can do and instead focus on what they can do to uplift themselves (Paraphrased from Kennedy). Aversion to risk and lack of acceptance of failure are stumbling blocks that must be removed. Indians have to mainly rely on themselves and rallying forward in the economic race cannot take place unless they lose their inhibitions. Anyway, there is nothing much to lose since most start out in a low base.
It is becoming clear that the events of Nov 25th 2007, demonstrate a sense of urgency and unity among Indians. The protest marches have in no doubt embarrassed the government and highlighted the abject nature of Malaysian race politics. However, the rally has merely started started the struggle for progress. There is a famous phrase from a old Tamil movie, “Poruthadu poduthum, pongi ellu”. Loosely translated, it means end your patience, rise up.
The patience with inept political leadership has ended.
The patience with lack of Indian unity has ended.
The patience with political gimmicks has ended.
The Indian community has shown great resolve and made the world stand up and notice its problems. The victory of November 25th would be judged by history. Merely protesting and highlighting the issues is not enough. Indians must use this momentum to conduct a root and branch analysis of their political, economic and social status in the country. They must unite and look for internal solutions. They must unite and realize their dreams and clear hurdles that will be thrown by jackals bent on derailing the community.
Time will tell how the community responds to this crisis. I am confident that the Indian community of Malaysia would march positively towards progress with vigor and unity.

You’re the type of Malaysian we should be proud of. We the people do not wish for our fellow Malaysians to be treated with this kind of disrespect, irrespective of race. When you stand up for your rights to be heard, you are also standing up for the rights of all us. Your post points out just how much respect the current government gives to the people, compared to how much care and respect we give to each other irregardless of race.
Thank you, you make us proud.

First and foremost i applaud you and your father. Anyway what i feel is the rally have verve from the root cause (to submit a petition to Queen Elizabeth to appoint a Queen’s Counsel to represent in the class action suit which is scheduled for next August, which is to ask for a RM 14trillion from British Government as compensation for bringing in the Indians as laborers and exploiting them).
My question why do you want to hand a petition on a Sunday, when you know very well that the embassy is closed?
Why do you want to do a street demonstration here in Malaysia when you are against the British government?
Why do you portray to the world that the ethnic indians are asking for a equal rights?
Why did you went ahead with the gathering even thou there is refraining order given by the court?
Why didn’t you use the proper channel to voice your problem?
Why did you have to use Batu Caves as your gathering ground and destroy the temple properties? Isn’t is a holy ground?
Why do we have to bring down our race in the eyes of others?
I am not pro government in particular MIC either but I have realized that if we keep quiet nothings gonna change, but the way we channel our voices have to be right, so that we would be heard!!!
I’m sorry if I hurt anyone with my views but I just can’t keep quiet when there are some people trying to take advantage of the situation that is going around now.

Come on indians!stand on your own feet! prove to malaysia and the world that no matter how much we are pressed down we can make it! we can do it! and without the help of any party.

Hi Sham! Let me try to reply your queries.
The answer to your first question, the rally was done on a Sunday morning to avoid causing much traffic congestion in the tourist spot. Imagine if the rally was done on a week day, imagine the chaos. As it is, even on a Sunday we are accused of causing traffic woes to many. What would have happened if it was a week day. There was no problem about handing over the Petition on a Sunday. The officials from the British embassy were prepared to accept the petition. the Petition was not handed because HINDRAF leaders could not get to the embassy due the blocks.
Secondly, I would not consider this a street rally. This was actually suppose to be a gathering showing that there is large amount of people being affected and neglected and not everyone had the opportunity to sign the Petition directly. The presence of the people there indirectly shows the number of people who are in favour of the action. Let me get one thing clear, this whole thing was not about the money. It was about our rights as Malaysians. If we ever get any damages from the British govt, there is only a group of Indians that will benefit. Those whose forefathers came here voluntarily are not entitled to the money. Once those who were forcefully brought into Malaya by the British will be entitled to it. Thus, half of the people gathered there are not entitled to the money.
I will reply your remaining questions tomorrow. Sorry. Got to get my beauty sleep.

I am very happy and proud that the indians have united and took a stand. There are many that critises the Indians for making a stand. I am a firm believer that you must fight for your rights. As a citizens, you do have rights!!! Finally the Indians are actually standing up for themselves rather than relying on a political party!!! May god bless all of them!! Now the country has heard some serious voices of asking for rights!!! This is just the beginning and there will be more people will join and stand for their rights too!! Its high time!! Kudos to all the Indians for went for the 25th Nov!!!

We must start asking and infact an open dialogue with MIC must be done. We must list out all the problems and freedom of practising our religion must continue. All this must be done with the Media as well.We must exercise of rights to question the government. After all, the government works for the people not the other way around. All Malaysian must be educated and inducted on our rights. Without knowing your rights, you do not have anything to protest or fall back on. How do you validate your protests without knowing your rights. Most Malaysian don’t even know what states in the constitution. You vote for a government that you, youselves don’t know what are their propagandas!! So educate yourselves and help educate the others as well. Indians must help themselves!! Stop being treated like a 3rd class immigrant!!! We are CITIZENS, we have RIGHTS!!!!! Your wakil rakyat works for you!!!!

Bravo !!!
At last the we have come together!
Like the old saying “do not disturb the sleeping tiger” There is a limit for everything and the minorities have been pushed too far. I knew this will happen one day! This is good news!!!
The British government have heard about this and I hope they will get in touch with HINDRAF even without the petition.
The open racial discrimination in Malaysia is intolerable …the world have to know this.
The party representing indians have their own agenda..to stay in power,go with the flow and keep the community suppressed and quiet…well this will not happen anymore.
On the other hand the government continously try to refresh old memories during elections and use the word ” peristiwa may 13″ to keep on holding power.
The ideal thing to do now is “BOYCOTT” the MIC and take to the opposition.
We demand our rights to higher education( no quotas)
Equal rights in employments and respect our religious beliefs.
I believe the “rakyat” will understand thes and the government have painted a very beautiful picture for the world to see. The world is now watching! I hope the intention is clear and all involved will come to their senses!!!

Sham, let me try to reply the few other questions you had.
You asked why we are potraying to the world that the ethnic Indians are asking for equal rights? Well, its simple. Our local govt has no time and have not bothered to hear the plight of the communities that are suffering here. Malaysia is one country who had always cared on how the world looks at them. The govt only makes a move when there is international pressure on it. The reason for filing an action against the British government is also an indirect way in getting the governments’ attention. If such drastic steps were not taken, we will continue to be the non-existent citizens of this country.
Ehmm…why did I go ahead with the gathering although it was illegal? It might have been an illegal gathering in the eyes of the law but to me it was purely a gathering to show displeasure of our current position and the need to be heard. There was no violence involved. It was not racist in nature. Why should I not go just because some fellow siting on his lazy chair in a luxury office said it was illegal.
You ask me why didn’t I use the proper channel to ask for my rights. Please let me know what in your view is the proper channel. Please do share it. We can perhaps try to use it in the future. Pls don’t think I am trying to be sarcastic. I am just trying to get ideas. I have always been a passive person. I have been a very accomodating person to everyone. People use to call me a fool because I did things just to satisfy people although I ended up looking like a fool at the end. But when I heard about this gathering, I just got so involved. I have always wanted to be in something that can help the community to escape from its suffering. This gathering was just a baby step towards it. Lets all get together and make changes. We should not always depend on the government. We have to be independent!
Batu Caves was used as a gathering place because it was a place of worship. Nobody will disturb us there. The damage caused there was not intentional. When tear gas and water cannons are used, people panic and through pain they just run every where. The damage caused is a result of that. You should have a look at Jeff Ooi’s blog and see who and what caused the chaos at Batu Caves. Come up with your own conclusion and please feel free to share it.
I was really happy to read your comment. You were daring enough to state your name and ask me about my view which perhaps was different from you. The only thing that caused me to get upset is when you said that we had brouht down our own race in the eyes of others? This is so not true!!! Do you know how everybody at the gathering felt? For once in our life, we were proud to be Malaysian Indians. We have finally broke the invisible wall that we had built ourselves amongst ourselves itself. People who I have never met before were smiling at me, sharing their stories and there was even one man who touched my heart very much. He was basicaaly in tears. He said for once all the Malaysian Indians have got together without looking down on each other. You have to be there to feel it. It was really a very emotional day for me.
Sham, don’t worry about anyone getting offended. Today, you are free to speak your mind just don’t be too harsh. Please do share your views with us. That is the best way to develop the society. Once ahgain, thanks.

We should be brave and forward ourselve to voice out our grievances. Indians have waited patienly too long. It times for to go on these rallies
But this please more indians do join in the rally. And please use some safety protection as mask or thick clothing to avoid from all chemical waters.
WE ARE PROUD OF OUR INDIANS. WE SHOULD GET RID OF SAMY VELLU. I hope all indians do vote in this election for the opposition party.

List of racial discriminations in Malaysia, practiced by government as well as government agencies. This list is an open secret. Best verified by government itself because it got the statistics.
This list is not in the order of importance, that means the first one on the list is not the most important and the last one on the list does not mean least important.
This list is a common knowledge to a lot of Malaysians, especially those non-malays (Chinese, Ibans, Kadazans, Orang Asli, Tamils, etc) who were being racially discriminated.
Figures in this list are estimates only and please take it as a guide only. Government of Malaysia has the most correct figures. Is government of Malaysia too ashamed to publish their racist acts by publishing racial statistics?
This list cover a period of about 50 years since independence (1957).
List of racial discriminations (Malaysia):
(1) Out of all the 5 major banks, only one bank is multi-racial, the rest are controlled by malays
(2) 99% of Petronas directors are malays
(3) 3% of Petronas employees are Chinese
(4) 99% of 2000 Petronas gasoline stations are owned by malays
(5) 100% all contractors working under Petronas projects must be bumis status
(6) 0% of non-malay staffs is legally required in malay companies. But there must be 30% malay staffs in Chinese companies
(7) 5% of all new intake for government army, nurses, polices, is non-malays
(8) 2% is the present Chinese staff in Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), drop from 40% in 1960
(9) 2% is the percentage of non-malay government servants in Putrajaya. But malays make up 98%
(10) 7% is the percentage of Chinese government servants in the whole government (in 2004), drop from 30% in 1960
(11) 95% of government contracts are given to malays
(12) 100% all business licensees are controlled by malay government e.g. Approved Permits, Taxi Permits, etc
(13) 80% of the Chinese rice millers in Kedah had to be sold to malay controlled Bernas in 1980s. Otherwise, life is make difficult for Chinese rice millers
(14) 100 big companies set up, managed and owned by Chinese Malaysians were taken over by government, and later managed by malays since 1970s e.g. MISC, UMBC, UTC, etc
(15) At least 10 Chinese owned bus companies (throughout Malaysia, throughout 40 years) had to be sold to MARA or other malay transport companies due to rejection by malay authority to Chinese application for bus routes and rejection for their application for new buses
(16) 2 Chinese taxi drivers were barred from driving in Johor Larkin bus station. There are about 30 taxi drivers and 3 are Chinese in October 2004. Spoiling taxi club properties was the reason given

(30) 50 cases whereby Chinese and Indian Malaysians, are beaten up in the National Service program in 2003
(31) 25% is Malaysian Chinese population in 2004, drop from 45% in 1957

(54) 20 cases every year whereby Chinese drivers who accidentally knocked down malays were seriously assaulted or killed by malays
(55) 12% is what ASB/ASN got per annum while banks fixed deposit is only about 3.5% per annum
There are hundreds more racial discriminations in Malaysia to add to this list of “colossal” racism. It is hope that the victims of racism will write in to expose racism.
Malaysia government should publish statistics showing how much malays had benefited from the “special rights” of malays and at the same time tell the statistics of how much other minority races are being discriminated.
Hence, the responsibility lies in the Malaysia government itself to publish unadulterated statistics of racial discrimination.
If the Malaysia government hides the statistics above, then there must be some evil doings, immoral doings, shameful doings and sinful doings, like the Nazi, going on onto the non-malays of Malaysia.
Civilized nation, unlike evil Nazi, must publish statistics to show its treatment on its minority races. This is what Malaysia must publish……….
We are asking for the publication of the statistics showing how “implementation of special rights of malays” had inflicted colossal racial discrimination onto non-malays.

I am very proud of what Hindraf and others did, this is one time I wish I was back in Malaysia, I am currently in the US as I see no future for Indians in Malaysia. But I indeed applaud what these organizers have done and peacefully too, I dont think if I was there at that time, I would have accepted this treatment with peace in my heart, what a wicked government to spray chemical laced water on peaceful rally. However, to all who defied this corrupt and racially biased government, you are brave and truthful, and this will eventually overcome this worthless government.

Yes Ben, its time we teach MIC and the govt in power a lesson. I am trying to get all the people I know to register as voters, ie all our Malaysian youngsters. Lets make the change in the govt. There is no point complaining if we dont do our part in making the necessary changes.
Please let those around u know that just because u register as the voter, your name does not appear on the voters list. Its a long process, which takes more than a month. Dont ask me why its takes so long. I am clueless myself. Thus, it is important for every eligible voter to register immediately as we are not aware when the elections will be called. Looking at things today, the govt might be happy to get a lot of youngsters out of the list and say that we registered late because they know we are not in favour of the govt. So, lets not allow them to give us more excuses based on our attitude of passiveness.
Lets go register as voters!!!

All Hindus..hmm I shouldnt call you that because that involves your religion and I have meet many good Hindus including the Prime Minister of India himself when he visited me at sidelines of ASEAN Summit December 2005.
I shouldnt call you India because India is the name of sovereign nation with population almost a billion. && % of it lives in poverty (refer to yesterdays’ Mingguan Malaysia)
I will call you paria because it is what you deserve most. A paria is the lowest caste of all Hindus. A paria is also people who make Indians look bad so they were exported to other countries.
As a paria, dont you dare to asking to be respected because even in Hinduism, you dont deserve to be respected, unless you can move upwards and become a Brahmin, Ksyatria or Wishnu.
A Paria will alwasy be a paria unless you be a good paria and yu will be reincarnated as a better person with higher caste.
Warnin to all Hindraf, Pekida will not keep silent. Continue doing what you will do and dont regret the repercussion.

I am happy that all Malaysian indians will join 2gather as 1. So long i dream of we all will join as 1. I was doing computer business and all contract was stop and i was told to take a bumi as my patner, then i was told to work under bumi. in Dr. Mahathir time we indians cant join due we fight ourself. Now we Must build our power in economics, education and etc. In the past we indian was respected because our education and our economic power. We should start a new policy buy indian product n support indian in all ways. Educated Indian should guide the uneducated and show the correct path.
As the gov are really scared of us. Because of that they block Hindraf. Gov are scared of us joining 2gather as 1.
The Bold Sammyvellu is the 1 seprate indians using MIC. Gov want us to fight so they can conquer us.

I heard the voice! The voice of slaves (Non Malays) under Master (Malay - Ketuanan Melayu). The voice after being mute and patiently bear unfair polarization for decades. Once these idiots behaved so fair fighting against apartheid policy in South African. Ironically, they are using same policy to rule this country. Don’t use the words “Bumiputera” as they are actually not belonging to this people’s group! The native people is more gentle and brilliant. Malays, most of them are Indons descendants. We are all knowing well these.
New Economy Policy (NEP) is just a idiot plan, and they forced us to receive it without any dispute. They are actually making fool of us. There is no nay race in this world so naive and stupid. Lack of transparency of this policy will not be accepted. Damn idiot dictator asking you to comply their command to accept it. Do not insult our intelligence to accept barbarian and idiotic decision. Enough insulting yourself being handicapped (as confessed by Dr. M - The Malays’ Dilemma). Really feel shame and no words to describe their idiotic acts. After 30 years of implementing NEP, you so called Non Malays have to be patient treated unfairly in many aspects. We know this country in the real context since we were children. We are bloody migrants coming here to robe their wealth. Yet, another 100 years for you Non Malays to be discriminated in this lovely country as they claimed that they have not achieved 30% equity share. Can you believe the “truth” stated by them?

praise to be for the chinese as they earned it. for the malays, they must work hard too and not just sitting around and rely on the gov’s -ss.
saying that the malays are not the native peep of this country is a total of bullcrap. malays werent only of the indo but on the other side of SEA too. some of them were originated around cambodia etc.
question, so if we were to let the orang asli rule the country, is it even possible?
face it, u guys are migrants. u cant expect to get the same thing as the bumiputras. u want it u might as well move to other country or maybe ur own original place.

I came across this site while browsing the internet and I just can’t help to say some words. Firstly, to Kumaran’s long list of supposed `oppression’, I cannot vouch whether all or correct, but I can with certainty say that some of them are false. Secondly, it seems that some people talk with their emotions rather then with their head and we all know what happens then.. facts get twisted etc etc.
I am a Malaysian first. While I know that Malaysia is not perfect and the government also has some fault, I do believe we have some things going for us. If you want to get something improved, get it done the right way. If the Indian’s are not happy with MIC or Samy Velu, then do what you guys need to get the correct representations in the government. Work from there.
Going to the streets and begging to our former colonial masters are the wrong wrong way to go. You are only burning the bridges between the races. You say that this is a Malaysian struggle? I say that if we let things go out of hand, we as a country and as a people have everything to loose. There are better ways to get what we want and I hope the Indians see this and I hope the country sees this as well before it is too late.

Just thought that I’d share some history
Tun VT Sambanthan speech at the Dewan Rakyat on 1 Jun 1965 :-
“Now, in 1955 we won the elections with a great majority. Then we obtained freedom in two years time. During this period, we had to discuss citizenship and various other things. Now, what did the Malays do – since we are speaking on racial lines – what did the Malay leadership do? They had 88 percent of the electorate still with them. What did they do with citizenship? If we look around in Asia and in East Asia, particularly, you will find that my race the Indian race, is not welcomed in Ceylon, is not welcomed in Burma. Look at my brother Chinese race, it is not welcomed in Thailand, in Vietnam, in Cambodia, in all the other areas. What help do they get for citizenship in all these territories? In Burma, as we know, Indians have been send packing, in Ceylon they refused them citizenship and in Burma it is likewise. I know it, you know it. And yet in Malaya what happened? Here, we found that the Malay leadership said, “We shall take them unto ourselves as brothers, we shall give them full opportunity to live in this country, we shall give them every opportunity to become citizens”. And so, in 1957, for the whole year, we waived language qualifications, and tens of thousands of Indians, Chinese, Ceylonese and others became citizens.”[ii]
We are all citizens of Malaysia. Yes we want to improve the country, but do it the right way guys.

Know what malay pig? A suck babi hutan pendatang from Indonesia, pencuri of Tanah Orang Asli, should be caught by all the Chinese whom you have insulted.
They will then pack you in a pig basket, parade you round Chinatown in KL, to let the Chinese pelt rotten eggs, throw shit and pour all the pig shit from the nearby pig farms on your head.
Then let them take you out of your pig basket and roast you over an extremely hot fire until you become barbecued pork. After that chop your stinking carcass and leave it in the streets of rural for all those vultures and crows to feed on. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Why only malays? You think this country is yours alone? What has the government really done for the pribumis and the Orang Asli? Look at how Umno has screwed up Sabah Indonesians and Filipinos getting citizenship and enjoying the same benefits as you the moment they hop off the boat!
You go ask the government to stop all that then I will stop thinking you are speaking through your asshole.
Podah! You are nothing but a chauvinist malay pig like the rest.
It seems like Malaysia is still not ready for globalisation because of a bunch of anti-social racist morons like you. Our country already independent for so many donkey years but sorry to see still got such shortsighted moron like you.
Bangsa melayu failed in the past 30 years with lots of help from Umno but still failed! Then they blame the Chinese cheat la, this la that la, marginalise them la……….so much excuses! If you are pariah, forever you are pariah!
If you malay pig race lazy, no matter how much with the government help, it will back to square.
For me, I just speak up what I had observed and not like the malay race who is always jealous about other race success. Bad hearted.
What the hell you ask all the Chinese to get out from Malaysia in your comment post? It is proven you are another racist moron bastard!
Malay failure is the fact! It has been happened since 30 years ago and not just now. If you keep on denying it proven again you are just another loser or hypocrite!
Truth - what is so proud of asking Chinese to be like your kind of robbers, liars, cheaters in Malaysia? Kaum tongkat yang langsung tak tahu malu! Yes, you motherf***ker are stupid, lazy, fanatic, thus you need tongkat forever! Dick head!
Kaum tongkat still can survive in most of the zoos overseas. See the UPM red shirt “Orang Utan”. At least they could be the laughing stock to this world.
If malays with 50% population in Malaysia none of them success, then I reckon you jump to the sea. That so!
Once again, with you racist pig moron, Malaysia wouldn’t go far as far as globalisation is all about!
You are truly one of those Umno babi hutan with shit plastered all over your brain and fulfilling Hang Tuah policy in reverse! With babi hutan like you whose brains are filled with tahi babi - it would be melayu akan hilang di dunia!

Ask all malay pig go back to Indonesia.
The malay pig make Malaysia become rubbish country. Without malay pig in Malaysia - Malaysia country will become same as Singapore or Taiwan.
Where malay pig came from? Indonesia? Arab? Africa? What happened to our Orang Asli? They are the original settlers here, they should be the true real bumiputras. Not the babiputras we have here.
What is wrong with the babiputras? Highest crime rates, highest divorce rates, highest number of criminals, highest number of drug users, highest number of rapists.
A genetically flawed race (babiputras) cannot be fixed by politically.
What have we got now?
Brain drain, economic disparity getting wider, poor education system, racial segregation, widespread corruption, inefficiency and uncompetitive on the government departments and others.
Sad. Sad. Sad. The question asked by many of my fellow Chinese is this - Why can’t you just tell the malay pig to adopt Chinese culture which is superior?
It makes no difference whether I am a Chinese, Indian or for that matter, anyone else, even a Mat Salleh. I am speaking as a human being to a malay pig like you.
If you malay pig don’t like the non-malays here, then go back to Sumatra, Jawa, or wherever your ancestors came from, and give this land back to its rightful master, the Orang Asli.
If Malaysia is to divide into two countries with malay pig taking the east, and the west to the Chinese and the Indians - watch that the malay pig starting to migrate to the west illegally for a better future.
It is no wonder Singapore is a country which is 50 years ahead of Malaysia.
You know something - once outside the perimeters of Malaysia, these malay pig are so small in value even a dog has more value than them!
Everything in Malaysia is a joke when it comes to the malay pig. They are laughed at by everyone in this world for being incompetent, lazy, useless morons.

Still so thick skin, don’t want to go back to Indonesia.

They came in Tanah Melayu……….You mean Tanah Orang Asli, they Jawanese pirate descendent came in!
Perhaps that is what we should give these ungrateful leeches like malay pig ultra:
Non-malay businesses should just pack up and leave, taking with them their capitals and investments. Non-malays with the means should emigrate.
Then these sick brain malay pig morons not only can keep their 30% NEP, they can have 100%……….of nothing.
And we sit back and watch them implode under the heavy load of their bureaucracy, crutch and religious fundamentalism.
As for implosions, that is the only way malays are going to head if they don’t pull their heads out of the sand soon. The world doesn’t owe you jack shit, and very soon reality will catch up with the lot of you. You can either embrace reality or perish by it.
As a non-malay and proud of it, I am ashamed to associate myself with hypocrites like you and your followers. I chose to leave the land of my birth because of people like you and guess what! No regrets whatsoever. Best decision I have ever made.
There is no reason for malay pig to be poor unless they are ass lazy or mental deformed or real stupid……….pick your choice.

275 juta rakyat lndia hidup dalam kedaifan
NEW DELHI 4 Dis.

hello guys.. dont u realize that we have lived 2gether in peacefully environtment for over 50 years of independences??? have you see indian people out there died cause have no food, no houses, no clothes??? think before you said or act something that will harm Malaysia. Let say u r in india country rite now, do you think that u will gain a comfortable life like as wut u have rite here?? of course NO, i’ve been there for several times, they were so naive, some of them even have to sell their own family bodies (died bodies), for only about RM50+ (after converting), to buy food and some others necessary things. do u wish to live in that way????
And even my millionaire fren malaysian chinese, have been cheated in China country. How luck he is cause he can make a lot of money for running busineses in Malaysia. See…there’s nothing we can argue about Malaysia’s Government. They’ve done a great job.
Let see rite now 8 out of 10 most wealthy people in Malaysia were chinese and indian such as tan sri lim goh tong, tony fernandez, tan sri ananda krishnan and others..
Do you know why samy vellu r still a minister at KEMENTERIAN KERJA RAYA? Because our govt want all the indians to take an apportunities in that scope. and yet, 95% of all tenders under that ministry were given to indian people. But i didn’t here any voice about that among hindraf people, why?
Come on indian people, we were be using by outsiders (might be america or anwar ibrahim) who like to see Malaysia (the most peacefully country in the world) start fighting each others. dont let them to be success. Our govt were very fair to all races in Malaysia.
As a doctor, i talk from my experiences, i’ve been travelled to around the world, there are 275 million people in INDIA living in naive environtment, lot of people died cause of thousand of deseases out there. and i can see that indian’s in Malaysia are the most lucky indian in the world. thank god for this Malaysia country, n for giving us a great govt.
come on, lets join our govt to protect our country from being harm by other people (outsider). Hindraf should changes its point of view. Dont harm our country.

sam, dont be so fool childish. Dont you ever use that babi word to Malay people. Have you forget about the tym before independences?? listen here you stupid fool sam, Malay peoples at that tym were protected us just like their own family even we are just migrates people at that tym. Even my disabled (blind) grandfather almost been killed by the komunis. And i m very touching when my grandfather said that the reason he was not been killed at that tym was because he being covered by his own bestfren (MALAY) who been killed by shots from komunis. And at that tym, Malay peoples were very kind to give a part of their foods (even they dont have enough for their own) to give to migrates indian families. Dont simply talk with your tiny knowledge, ask our grandfather about it.
And to all people “behind” HINDRAF.. might be america.. might be anwar ibrahim.. I beg u.. dont u ever try to harm Malaysia, I rather give u my life, you can even killed me but please stop your work by dragging my race indians in realize your own agenda.

All Indians of Malaysia, you should continute your protests against the Malaysian regeime. Most importantly, you must NOT negotiate with MIC. In fact MIC must be made irrelevant!!!!! I know that the idiot Pak Lah’s department is now insisting on indians going through MIC to address any greviances. This will be a big mistake as the cause of alot of problems do infact stem from MIC and in particular that corrupted, bald, bastard mandor, Sammy Velu.
For the rest of you educated Indians, please consider leaving Malaysia. Theres plenty of jobs overseas for engineers, doctors, accountants, it, etc. Believe me, the grass is greener overseas. I left Malaysia 10 years ago at the height of the economic crisis, and today I live and work in Australia. In case you may not know it, Australia is in the middle of a booming economic market. We have shortage of every professional, especially engineers. We cannot pay enough for people to come and work here. But what is surprising is that not many people really understand the size of the economic boom here. To me it resembles the hey day of Malaysia’s boom of the 1980’s under the reign of YAB Dr Mahatir. If you are skeptical, please read some of the Australian main stream newspapers to get an feel for what is happening here.
For you professional indians, give overseas a try for a few years. I am sure that most of you will open your eyes to what is happening in Malaysia and if you do go back, then you can help open the eyes of others in the country and perhaps can make a difference in the long run. But, I suspect, that once you taste life in outside Malsysia, you will not want to reutrn to the drudgery of Malaysia where you are no longer treated with respect.
Malaysia, on the other hand, is decending into chaos. Society is in meltdown. The dream is gone. I hear that the crime in Malaysia is now so rampant that even the police are afraid of the criminals. The indons practically rule the outskirts of the country, running riot, raping and pillaging throughout the fringes of the cities. Even in parts of KL, people have to erect fences to protect their houses from thiefs, rapists and muderers.
I heard first hand accounts of fire brigade officers requesting bribes before they would intervene to fight house fires. On one of this ocassions, an old chinese man was caught in his room but the fire brigade refused to enter until they received a fee from the owner. To this response, a couple of Indian youths braved through the fire and straight up into the razing building to free the elderly individual. The crowd that gathered there then turned on the fire brigade and police had to intervene to stop this blowing into a riot. FYI, this occurred on Jln Klang Lama in late 2006. But, this highlights what is wrong with Malaysia.
I am no longer a Malaysian citizen. However, I maintain keen interest in what is occurring in Malaysia. The time of the Malays will soon come to an end because of the rise of Indian and China. It is now up to the Indians and Chinese to ensure that these countries put pressure on the Malaysian government to redress the wrongs of the Malaysian government. Bring your plight to the governments of these countries. Let their industrialists know what is going on. Once the greedy UMNO see investment moving away from Malaysia, they will have no choice but to change their tone.
That notion of the Tanah Melayu and Malays rights have to be destroyed in the constitution of Malaysia. While I am no longer a Malaysian citizen, I never once felt that the soil of Malaysia did not flow through the blood in my veins. It flows as strongly now as it ever once did. I flows in each and every one of you if you were born there. The Malays do not have exclusive monopoly on this. Citizenship is only a silly paper formality, made sillier by governments like the Malaysian government who gives it little value.

Some people in the preceding discussions talk about risk of burning the bridges between the races in Malaysia. I think that you should stop deluding yourselves. The bridges broke long ago. Malaysia has been polarized long enough now for at least two generations of Malaysians to know this. So please wake up!!!!!
If the bridges were not already broken, then why would the Melayus speak about taking out their lousy “keris” except to stick it into you.

I am student in Selangor. Today four policemen came to makan at my mother’s stall for lunch. I mixed pig curry into the mutton curry and served policemen. The policemen were so happy with the taste, they ordered another round. My mother did not know what I did because she was not in the stall at that time. When she came back, I told her and she nearly got a heart attach. Anyway I think it is ok to feed pigs with pig meat.
