I’m done with the Arkayne Related Posts plugin

It’s been over 24 hours since I activated my Arkayne Related Posts plugin but no related posts have even shown up so far. I expected 30 mins as stated by Arkayned eventually 24 hours later and nothing is happening.

Arkayne parses and links your blog in 30 min flat.

I sent 4 mails asking for support but never heard back from Arkayne.

Apparently the Arkayne Related plugin is not working as advertised. The only thing left to do now is to drop the plugin. Till then I’m back to Simple Tags’s related posts feature.

I love the concept behind Arkayne and hope they get it running soon.

    Danny,

Thanks for trying Arkayne in Beta. You are definately the demographic we had in mind when creating Arkayne. As far as the delay in linking we apologise for the inconvenience, the sudden jump in users has exceeded even our hefty estimates.

As a direct response to your emails (love to hear feedback) we’ve added several processing clusters to handle the additional load. Your page should be linked shortly.

Looking forward to more fun in Beta as our user base grows, thanks for your support and we hope the plugin serves you well.

    Hi CypherHackz,

I like the Arkayne service because it’s able to reach more people and only by relevant article. This will help get the niche reader base(i hope :D )

Other plugins currently only process local posts so i find that a limitation.

One of the things that we’re trying to convey to users is that the site is that Arkayne is continuously refining the links. That means as better links come along your site will be linked again and the links re-ordered.

Most users notice this when they first launch the wide on a single page, the links are all from external sites. As users click around the host site, relevant host pages should trickle in.

Next month we are planning on launching a large improvement to the speed at which we process links, this will allow Arkayne to spend more time on each link and hopefully get better even better results.

Thanks for the update Paul. Appreciate the feedback, and the plugin is now working fine on my dev blog.

    Thanks
