Should Badawi (Pak Lah) resign as Malaysia’s prime minister? So far there has been no signs of that happening as Badawi stated that he has no intention to resign.
Vote here.

NO, never.
We need a prime minister like Pak Lah.
What we don’t need is a deputy prime minister like Najib.

He should man! The poor results translates to the vote of non confidence. Its a harder task now then before so sticking to it isnt the best option…in my opinion

I still have mix feelings. If he stops listening to “others” and makes up his own mind then maybe he should stay else it’s better for him to step down.

A responsible leader accept resposibility.. if more then half total voters did not vote for BN he must accept the responsibility and resign… After all he has to be PM of all Malaysian…
but then again .. how many BN Leaders in the past does.

I agree with malaysian that Pak Lah should not resign unless there’s a better candidate. BN did not lose, it failed to obtain 2/3 majority in the parliament. I personally think that this is the best election outcome for all Malaysians.

After 50 years, if not for Datuk Seri Abdullah, we would not have the first Tsunami and victory for democracy in Malaysia.
Let’s just look at the scenario:
1. Datuk Seri Abdullah released DSAI when he came to power.
He did not need to do this.
Dr M would probably have driven DSAI to commit Harakiri in prison!
2. Datuk Seri Abdullah did not stop the bloggers from giving altenartive news.
He could have arrested these bloggers under ISA.
Dr M would definitely have done this at least prior to the election.
3. Datuk Seri Abdullah allowed the Bersih and Hindraf to organise their rallies. Under Dr M’s rule,
the organisers would have been arrested even for thinking about organising the rallies.
Judge a person from the outcomes of their leadership, not from what their detractors say.
Think!

I certainly vehemently object to the suggestion that Pak Lah should step down. Who is the next best candidate to hold the PM post anyway.
Suprising when out DPM was linked to Altantuya’s case no pressure was placed on Dato Seri Najib to step down though the photos produced in Court was so obvious but because BN failed to get its 2/3 majority Pak Lah has to step down because it is his fault.
The fact remains what when one party wins, it is referred as TEAM WORK but when it is otherwise we all start pointing fingers at one person.
THE WORLD AND PEOPLE ARE NEVER FAIR AFTER ALL.

Pak Lah SHOULD NOT STEP DOWN. Although im not a big fan of him but i think he should not resign. He should just change his atittude to be more aware and reasonable to the rakyat. Plus, i dont clearly see whos the next possible candidates to be a Prime Minister. Think! dont be like uneducated people, dont listen to those hearsays. Thats typical malaysians of course.

Abdullah is a FOLLOWER. Even Mahathir looks like a dictator but he is always a LEADER. We need someone to lead the country not a follower who just listen. LEADER leads the country. If Mahathir is a dictator, is he as bad as Marcos or others dictator? He did so much for Malaysia.

I disagree with most of the reports and postings that are WHACKING Pak Lah.
Everyone knows that during the period of Tun Dr M, we were not even allowed to speak out against the Government or its policies. If anyone really dared, then ISA lah !!! Easy as that.
You challenge the top Brass, then you will be charged with Corruption and if the Courts find NO evidence of Corruption, then they charge you for Sodomy. All types of charges will be filed until they can nip you in Jail (one less Opposition).
Then, no press freedom, Blogging CANNOT as the Ministry says that anyone who talks the truth about the Government or its Policies will be charged with the Sedition Act (ask Lim Guan Eng who was a Victim).
Now, here is a new Prime Minister (2004) who has given the Freedom to one and all (Rakyat) to Voice their Grievances in the Media (even e-mail him personally), Report Corruption of top Government Brass freely without Fear, challenge the Government in Elections and a Host of other FREEDOM so that JUSTICE can be seen and done. This could never have happened before this.
The Prime Minister has done his best to be clean and Honest in all dealing, gave the Rakyat the Voice that was needed for the Change as well as the avenues to do so.
The only problem he had was his Group of Advisors, who are to be blamed for all the fiascos with wrong advice to the PM. That was his BIGGEST MISTAKE.
I suggest that Pak Lah MUST NOT be punished BUT instead he should be given a HONOUR for helping the Rakyat choose the parties of their choice and see Malaysia as a true Democratic Country.
Remember, if not for Pak Lah, we would never ever have seen the Opposition winning with such big margins. That’s why Pak Lah says this Election was Fair and Clean although BN lost badly.
This could NEVER have happened in the past COULD IT ???
