everydns was acquired and shut down by Dyn in 2011. xname is functional but has terrible synchronization times. I use BuddyNS, they synchronize within 10 minutes.

I used and still use editDns but they changed their policy recently, to be able to use my domains i must pay the lifetime license, 150 $. I think i will choose everyDNS and pay the donation.

Another good option will be EveryDNS, but it limits a free account to a certain limit(17 domains I suspect) after that you need to make a donation and all the limits are taken off. EveryDNS is another project of the same guy behind OpenDNS
